Outside Parts Sales- Memphis, TN

Tri-State Truck Center, Inc., a family-owned company since 1945. Tri-State Truck Center has 9 locations and has an opportunity available for an Outside Parts Sales Associate to join our family at the Memphis, TN location. We sell Mack industry-related parts over the phone, via email, or in person while providing excellent customer service.

Candidates must be energetic, friendly, and professional. Experience in working in the trucking or automotive industry. Should be able to lift at least 50 pounds and be comfortable working in a warehouse-type environment. Proficiency in computers, familiarity with parts inventory systems, and customer service oriented.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

· 3-5 years of related work experience.

· Capable of preserving confidential or sensitive information.

· Effective time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Able to prospect accounts.

· Strong communication skills in writing and verbal.

Tri-State Truck Center, Inc., a family-owned company since 1945. We have an opportunity available for a highly motivated Truck Sales Person to join our family at our Joplin, MO location.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business by means of prospecting through calls, emails, and going to potential customer’s places of business
  • Utilize multiple networking avenues such as social media, referral sources, past customers, mailers, etc. to increase sales
  • Writes complete sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with the dealership policies
  • Attends product and sales training courses
  • Fostering current customers to make sure their truck needs are being taken care of
  • Following up with customers after the sale to ensure they have complete customer satisfaction with the company in sales, parts, and service
  • Assist customers in selecting the right vehicle for their line of work by asking questions and listening to their needs
  • Collaborating with sales team members to reach sales target goals while growing gross profit
  • Conducts business in an ethical and professional manner

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of sales history preferably in the heavy-duty truck industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Be able to pass background checks & drug test
  • Have a valid driver’s license and willing to obtain a CDL license

  • Locates and ships parts from branch inventory and prepares shipments to customers.
  • Maintains up-to-date documentation relating to parts and accessories while continually monitoring inventory levels.
  • Assist with scheduling part deliveries and pick-up.
  • Various other tasks as assigned.
  • Supports annual physical inventories; reconciles all variances.
  • Process and track core returns.

Diesel Technician- Jackson, MS

 

Tri-State Truck Center, Inc. is seeking Diesel Technician to join our family at the Jackson, Mississippi location.

Your responsibilities will be:

Working on a variety of different types of equipment and supporting our customers as they drive their Mack and International heavy-duty trucks on the road.

Maintains advanced knowledge of, and strong skill proficiency in, the following vehicle components and systems, with the ability to perform complex repair maintenance functions.

The right candidate will have: 

· At least 3 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.

· Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.

· Valid Driver’s License (required).

· Must have your own tools to perform the task that is given to you.

· Ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in some (not all required) of the following heavy truck, or automotive systems:

· Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

· Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.

· Prior experience with, or knowledge of, maintenance work to be performed on Classes 1-5 light/medium-duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks.

· Must be able to rotate a Saturday shift.

· Air and hydraulic braking systems and ABS system diagnose and repair

· Heating and air conditioning systems.

· Mack and/or International experience is a plus

· Suspension, steering, and ability to perform truck alignments

· Diesel emission, DEF, and SCR diagnosis and repair

· Transmission and rear end diagnose and repair

· Chassis, engine, transmission electrical diagnosis, and repair

· Able to use a laptop computer and a variety of programs for troubleshooting equipment

· Identifies the source of the malfunctions using a variety of electronic tools.

· General engine repairs and being able to perform tune-ups, replace injectors, and rebuild is a plus.

· Vehicle PM inspections and adjustments
